ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Computer Science is one of the vivacious departments in the University. Established in the year 1987, the department offers courses on MCA, M.Sc CS, Five years Integrated M.Sc Computer Science (Data Science), M.Phil and Ph.D programmes that empower students both on theory and practical savvy, fostering them for industry and on academic hinterlands. Apart from teaching, our higher end research team focuses currently on Biometrics, Image Processing, Machine Learning and Adaptive Learning System. The Artificial Intelligence Centre was established with the funding of DST to make Women impactful contributions on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning to both Society and Industry.
The Department of Computer Science goes beyond the syllabus and executes with a laser focus on making every student as an all-round personality on every walks of life. The competitive industrial and social demands are well recognized by the committed team and its incessant effort is to bring the best out of every budding professional in the department; by nurturing them on inter-personal skills, team building, leadership qualities, entrepreneurship skills and conflict management. This is a unique department where students get the opportunity to learn the Technology and on Public speaking too.
