About the Department
Established in 2005, the Department of Mathematics offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes, fostering excellence in pure and applied mathematics. The department actively conducts academic events under the Ramanujan Club including National/International Seminars, Conferences, Workshops, and coaching for TNPSC, UGC SLET/NET to prepare students for various academic and administrative roles.
Emphasis is placed on digital learning and online courses to strengthen subject knowledge. Students benefit from holistic growth through yoga and sports, facilitated by supportive departments. The M.Sc. Mathematics programme is also offered at the University's Chennai and Coimbatore campuses. The department motivates PG students to publish research papers in reputed journals and ensures financial aid through state government scholarships for eligible M.Sc. and Ph.D. scholars.
